Adam Sam (Monok)

Adam Sam studied Computer Science at the Royal Institute of Technology, and Philosophy at Stockholm University. With a background from Schibsted, Scandinavia's largest mediahouse, he eventually founded together with his brother monok.com, a SaaS within the field of Observational Journalism and Journalistic re-writing. His interest in AI and NLG goes back to early teenage years where he developed multiple software solutions within text to speech, voice recognition, NLP and NLG, some of which were featured in international publications. More recently he's been involved in close collaborations with academia, implementing experiments at Harvard, collaborating with researchers at UCLA and The University of Brighton, making use of best practices to commercialise the latest within machine learning.

Ross Turner (Arria)

Ross obtained his PhD in NLG from the University of Aberdeen under Arria’s Chief Scientists Dr Yaji Sripada and Professor Ehud Reiter. He was a founding member of Arria Data2Text and has held roles at various technology companies such as Nokia and BCG Digital Ventures. Ross brings over 15 years of NLG and technology development experience to Arria.

Robert Weißgraeber (Ax Semantics)

Robert Weissgraeber is the Managing Director and CTO of AX Semantics, where he heads up product development and engineering. Robert is an in-demand speaker and an author on topics including agile software development and Natural Language Generation (NLG) technologies and a member of the Forbes Technology Council. He was previously Chief Product Officer at aexea. Robert studied Chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University and also did a research stint at Cornell University.

Michelle Zhou is Co-founder and CEO of Juji, Inc., a California-based company that develops cognitive artificial intelligence assistants in the form of chatbots. She is an expert in human-centered AI, an interdisciplinary area that intersects AI and human-computer interaction (HCI).
